Bayern Munich is interested in signing Liverpool and Senegal forward Sadio Mane this summer as Serge Gnabry’s replacement. Gnabry’s contract renewal has been in limbo as the Germany forward is likely to force a move out of Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich on the Senegalese star has tabled no official proposal, but it is believed that Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic met the 30-year-old’s agent over the weekend.
The Senegal international is under contract until 2023. Still, talks over a possible new deal have been difficult and reports suggest Mane is unhappy Mohamed Salah’s contract talks have taken priority at Anfield. Mohammed Salah demands an increase in his salary to 400,000 pounds per week.
Mane has made 47 appearances in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side this term, scoring 21 goals.
Rumours regarding Sadio Mane had rocked the airwaves since 2019 when he was linked to Real Madrid. Liverpool has strengthened its forward with Luiz Diaz’s signing from Porto and Diogo Jota. Mane has had an incredible season where he won The carabao cup and helped Senegal clinch the African Cup of nations and qualify for the world cup.
