Spurs signs Perisic from Inter Millan

Tottenham Hotspurs has signed Ivan Perisic from Inter Millan on a free transfer. Inter Millan has received a final communication that the 33-year-old, out of contract, will reunite with his former coach Antonio Conte for a two-year deal.

According to the Italian papers, Perisic agreed to the Spurs’ offer of a two-year contract worth £5.1million [€6m], moving them ahead of Chelsea who was also interested in signing the player. Medicals are scheduled next week in London. His long term wish was to play in the premier league after stints in France, Belgium, Germany and Italy.

The Croatia regular broke through at Borussia Dortmund under Jurgen Klopp before heading to Inter, where he played under Conte.

He spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Bayern Munich, where he completed a European treble and has since returned to Serie A and excelled in a more withdrawn role. Following up a title win under Conte last season.
