Royal media journalist Trevor Ombija is the latest victim to be roasted by Kenyans on Twitter after his statement on the noisy clubs backfired. The journalist addressed a meeting between bar owners, restaurant owners and the residents association. In giving feedback on regulating noise pollution, the journalist claimed that he had a feud with one of the residents and offered to soundproof his apartments after a constant conflict.
“I have a neighbour who wanted us to shut down because I did not give her a landscaping job.We reduced our volume completely all other neighbours were ok with our attempts, except her so I offered to go the extra mile of soundproofing as a last resort she still refused,” Stated Trevor Ombija.
The topic of Nairobi clubs’ noise pollution has been on focus; Kilimani MCA Robert Alai has spearheaded the closing of several identified noisy clubs in residential areas.
Here is the reaction from KOT to Trevor’s statement.
