Kalonzo Musyoka attended the Mashujaa celebrations, smiling with President William Ruto at the VIP dais. However, the Azimio One coalition leaders were conspicuously missing as Kenya kwanza presided over the first national holiday at Uhuru Gardens. Mashujaa day is the day that commemorates Kenyan heroes.
Kalonzo Musyoko has been a fierce critic of the Kenya Kwanza coalition since William Ruto was inaugurated as the fifth president of Kenya. He criticized Ruto’s lifting of the GMO. Kalonzo’s attendance has elicited different reactions from the netizens. Some have been impressed that he has shelved the political differences and joined the government officials in celebrating the national event. In contrast, others felt that it’s the unchanging nature of Musyoka, who is known for double speaking hence the nickname ‘watermelon.’ At the same time, others speculated that it might symbolize a new handshake between William Ruto and Kalonzo Musyoka.
