Zuchu And Rayvanny win big at AFRIMMA Awards

Tanzania’s Bongo flavour music was once again elevated to top-notch as Zuchu and Rayvanny made their fans smile after bagging awards at the 2022 AFRIMMA  Awards held in Dallas, Texas, in the United States Of America. AFRIMMA awards’ primary purpose is to recognize and award African talents.

Having been the first and only Tanzanian to win BET Awards, Rayvanny took home the category for Best East Africa Male artist beating  Kenya’s Khaligraph Jones and Otile Brown, Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo and Wasafi CEO Diamond Platinumz.

Sukari hitmaker Zuchu won the Best East African female artist category, where she took home the award against Nandy, Maua Sama,  and Kenya’s Femi One and Jovial. Zuchu became the fourth female Tanzanian artist to win this award after Vannessa Mdee, Nandy and Lady Jaydee.

Zuchu is now the most subscribed female East African artist on YouTube, as Rayvanny enjoys over 100 million streams on Boomplay, having recorded multiple hits.
