Liverpool beat Man United to seal Gakpo deal

The premier league moment has intensified after a month’s break due to the World Cup held in Qatar as many teams aim to strengthen their squad. Klopp’s Liverpool has beaten Manchester United and has sealed a deal with Dutch youngster Cody Gakpo.

Manchester United was linked with the PSV forward during the summer but opted to buy Ajax’s Anthony at a hundred million euros.

Gakpo had a brilliant world cup campaign as he netted goals against Senegal and Ecuador before champions Argentina knocked out the Dutch side in the quarter-finals.

Reports indicated that Gakpo was headed to Old Trafford to strengthen Erik Ten Hag’s striking alongside Martial, Rashford and Anthony. This is after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Liverpool sealed the 37 million euros transfer shortly after being linked to the club. Most pundits have analyzed that the youngster will be the solution to Liverpool’s attacking woes alongside Mohammed Salah. Summer signing Darwin Nunez hasn’t performed well.
