Family and friends of the late veteran journalist Catherine Kasavuli gathered today at Friend Church Ngong Road for a memorial service. Catherine succumbed to cancer after getting ill for some time. The burial rites will take place on Saturday in Zululu, Vihiga County.
The veteran journalist worked with Kenya Broadcasting Service (KBC) Citizen TV and KTN channels. Work colleagues described the late as the most selfless person they knew and his working ethics were highly admirable.
Family members, friends and dignitaries are in attendance, among keynote figures including politicians George Wajackoyah, Amos Wako, Ababu Namwamba and Martha Karua. Catherine’s close friends and family have given their touching tributes. Some include.

Catherin’s son Martin: l had a strong bond with my mum. She was prayerful and funny. She was a humble lady despite being a tv star. We had our highs and lows moments during her illness.
