On June 29th, Netflix made a major announcement of the actors who will be participating in the Squid Game Season Two. Lead actor Lee Jung Jae together with  Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun and Gong Yoo from the season one cast while joining the newly announced cast Park Gyu-young, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-uk, Choi Seung-Hyun, Roh Jae-won, and Won Ji-an for the season two project, details on their character have not been revealed.

Netizens were surprised by the news of the lead actor Lee Jung Jae demanding one million dollars ( Ksh 140m) to make an appearance per episode, as quoted by Dispatch.

Netflix cannot afford to overlook Lee Jung Jae’s request; Lee Jung Jae asked Netflix seeking a substantial guarantee of over 1 million dollars per episode, which means his appearance fees will amount to a staggering total of over 13 million dollars (given the 13 episodes).”
