Azimio One Kenya and the ruling Alliance, Kenya Kwanza, are currently engaged in Bipartisan talks to solve critical matters on governance, which has been antagonizing the two sides.
The move to hold the talks seems not impress all the politicians from both sides, as some seem to read different scripts in public engagements. Recently, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua talked down the Bipartisan talks, claiming it would not solve the key issues being targeted.
In the recent move, a conflict of interest has been raised between Azimio principals Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka. A statement made by Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo seems not to go well with Karua during the burial of Wiper-nominated MCA Constance Mwandawiro in Taita Taveta, where Kalonzo praised President William Ruto for accepting to engage in a dialogue and affirmed boldly that the Azimio camp recognized his legitimacy. Azimio troops led by Raila Odinga have claimed they will not recognize President Ruto until issues on the last election are solved.
“We congratulate the President for putting his foot down and supporting the talks, because of his stand, we recognize him and we will wait for the next time because who knows? God his plan may be with us next time,” stated Kalonzo.
Martha Karua has debunked Kalonzo’s message by giving a contrary opinion on Nation Africa’s article on Muskoya’s statement. Karua’s response was ” Not True.”
